Certified Infant Massage Instructor Training CIMI®

CLASS SUMMARY:

Participants through detailed instruction by our Licensed Trainers are trained to teach parents/primary caregivers The Loving Touch® Method© of Massage with their newborns and children through a demonstration approach using a doll. This is a parent-delivered activity because the goal is to empower parents/caregivers to have direct hands-on contact with their children to improve the parent/child connection through the massage. Our certification program is presented through PowerPoints/Keynotes, lectures, audio-visual aids, shared discussions, and hands-on learning with a demonstration doll. There will be an in-person demonstration lab/or Zoom with parents and their children each day of the training for more in-depth learning. To receive CIMI® certification participants must attend both days of training and complete the Post-Practicum assignment. This includes the online Open-Book exam and parent instructional sessions with observational write-ups. Successfully passing will achieve their Certified Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI®) Certificate. Participants have a 2-month window to complete the program.

Who Can Attend: The CIMI® Certified Infant Massage Instructor program is an evidence-based practice (discipline: prevention) designed for Nurses, Lactation Consultants, Speech Language, Early Intervention Specialists, Occupational and Physical Therapists, Massage Therapists, Developmental Specialists, Doulas, Parent Educators, Child Life Specialists, Social Workers, Home-base visitors, and all healthcare professionals who work with infants and children.
