Certified Infant Massage Instructor Training CIMI®

CLASS SUMMARY:

Participants receive comprehensive instruction from Licensed Trainers to become qualified to teach parents and primary caregivers, The Loving Touch® Method© of Infant Massage. Instruction is provided through a demonstration-based approach using a doll, enabling participants to effectively model the massage techniques that parents will later apply directly with their own infants and children. The goal of the program is to empower parents and caregivers to engage in nurturing, hands-on interaction that strengthens the parent–child bond and supports healthy development.

The certification curriculum is delivered through PowerPoint/Keynote presentations, lectures, audio-visual materials, guided discussions, and experiential learning with demonstration dolls. Each day of training includes an in-person or virtual (ZOOM) demonstration lab with parents and children, allowing for enhanced, practical application of learned skills.

To achieve Certified Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI®) status, participants are required to attend both full days of training and complete the Post-Practicum components. These include an online open-book examination and the facilitation of parent instructional sessions, accompanied by written observational reports. All certification requirements must be completed within a two-month period to receive the CIMI® credential. Extensions may be requested.

Who Can Attend:  The CIMI® Certified Infant Massage Instructor program is designed for Nurses, Lactation Consultants, Speech Language, Early Intervention Specialists, Occupational and Physical Therapists, Massage Therapists, Developmental Specialists, Doulas, Parent Educators, Child Life Specialists, Social Workers, Home-base visitors, and all healthcare professionals who work with infants and children.
