Is Infant Massage an Evidence-Based Practice?

Yes, significant evidence supports infant massage as an evidence-based practice, particularly for preterm infants, showing benefits in weight gain, reduced stress (cortisol), and better sleep. Research indicates it improves maternal-infant interaction, reduces parental stress, and is safe. While some studies on full-term infants show mixed results for long-term developmental impacts, it is widely recognized as a beneficial, low-risk, and supportive intervention.

International Loving Touch Foundation (ILTF) is recognized by National Associations such as American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and is accredited by numerous nationally accredited programs.

As a CIMIยฎ, you will become an Active Registered Member of the International Loving Touch Foundation Registry of Certified Infant Massage Instructors and will have access to marketing and promotional materials through our my CIMIยฎ portal to help you be successful in teaching your families in your community or workplace!

One-Year and Two-Year Renewal Options
