About our Online Training

In our self-paced, home-study synchronous/asynchronous format, participants will be trained through a comprehensive, hybrid online course. (self-paced, best suited to your schedule). Our hybrid learning model consists of five components:

1. Foundations of Infant Pediatric Massage – Lessons 1 – 10 – online self-paced lessons (home-based study).
2. Final coursework includes: Open-book Exam – Lesson 11 – (48 questions based on readings and online learning)
3. Infant Massage Skills Lab – Lesson 12 – Live ZOOM Skills Lab – Led by one of our Licensed Instructor Trainers (4 – 5 hours in length). Skills Lab dates will be available when you reach this lesson. Dates run throughout the year and are worldwide.
4. Parent-Infant Massage Practicum – Lessons 13 – 16 – Post Practicum teaching with families (four parent-infant dyads, 2 lessons each) including SOAP note documentation. All materials are located in your Online Exam Portal.
5. Completion – Lessons 17 – 18 – Resources (downloadable) and Final Course Evaluation (mandatory)

This hybrid course covers the Loving Touch® Method© of Infant and Pediatric Massage, training participants to demonstrate massage techniques to parents and caregivers using a demonstration doll. Note: Only certified instructors with clinical credentials may perform massage directly when parent or caregiver is unavailable.

The CIMI® online curriculum includes narrated PowerPoint videos, demonstration videos, a Live ZOOM Skills lab, online exam, infant massage practicum assignments, digital resources, handouts, and guides—all available for download.

Participants who complete all requirements and score at least 80% earn the Certified Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI®) Certificate, are added to the Loving Touch® International Registry of Certified Infant Massage Instructors, and gain access to the MYCIMI® portal for complimentary teaching tools, stroke sheets, certificates, and resources to support their classes.

The online course provides a 6-month study period to complete all components of the program, including home study, live ZOOM Skills Lab, exam, and the Parent-Infant Massage Practicum requirements.

Example of Course Timeline Plan

• Months 1 – 3, Lessons 1-12: Home study, Open Book Exam, ZOOM Skills Lab
• Months 4 – 6, Lessons 13-18: Parent-Infant Practicum Teaching (self-monitored)

You can finish the course ahead of schedule. If you encounter special situations, extensions are available by request. Live ZOOM Skill Lab sessions take place monthly. As you progress through your home study, contact us for upcoming session dates.

Who Can Attend:  The CIMI® Certified Infant Massage Instructor program is designed for healthcare professionals working with parents/primary caregivers and their infants and children including Nurses, Lactation Consultants, Speech Language, Early Intervention Specialists, Occupational and Physical Therapists, Massage Therapists, Developmental Specialists, Doulas, Parent Educators, Child Life Specialists, Social Workers, Home-base visitors, and all healthcare professionals who work with infants and children. Registration and Course Information

International Loving Touch® Foundation, Inc., is an approved accreditor of Continuing Education, which supports the highest ethics in preparation for becoming a Registered CIMI® Certified Infant Massage Instructor. Loving Touch® has set guidelines for admission into our program. Pre-requisites for participation include:

1. Official Registration Application – done online, along with uploading the letters below in PDF format.
2. Letter of Professional Character Reference
3. Personal Letter of Intent: “Why do you want to learn  and  teach the Loving Touch® infant massage program?”
4. Signed Program Waiver

Before You Begin Your Registration

We’re excited to have you join us! To help make your registration process smooth and easy, please have both required letters ready before you begin your application. Both letters must be submitted with your application before you can complete the registration process.

Once your application and letters have been received and approved, you will receive access to the payment portal. During checkout, you will be asked to review and sign the program waiver.

Please remember to indicate your doll selection in the designated section of the application.

Course Fee and Shipping Details: International Shipping & Special Exceptions

If you are registering within the Continental USA, the online course fee posted covers required supplies and costs incurred for shipping. Course materials are shipped UPS ground. For faster shipping contact us directly.

Note: Participants registering from outside the continental United States may be subject to additional fees for shipping and or SKILL Testing ZOOM. Rates are determined based on the destination country. We can do a calculation for you, and if you agree to the additional charge, a special payment link will be provided for additional payment only. International orders are typically shipped via the United States Postal Service (USPS) international priority service. To receive a shipping quote, please email your contact information, full shipping address, and destination country to orders@lovingtouch.com.

Special Exceptions: International registrants: Hong Kong, China, and Asia students. Post Practicum will be directly scheduled with Licensed Instructor Trainer, Nora Leung who resides in Hong Kong. Infant Massage Skills Lab – Lesson 12 – Live ZOOM Skills Lab – Led by our International Licensed Instructor Trainers (4 – 5 hours in length). When scheduled the fee for the Skills Lab will be paid directly to H3TOUCH.
